Idea Guidelines:
1 – Idea needs to be something we can do. This means, although we appreciate general feedback (for example, “this is good!” or “this hurts!”), here we are looking for ideas we can work on.
2 – Specific. The more details you can provide, the better. Heck—you can attach files to ideas or a reference link to show us what you want!

  1. "Service and Gifts" -> "Service" and "Gifts"

Please split the category of your shop's website for "Service and Gifts" into two categories "Service" and "Gifts". These categories have nothing to do with each other, and it makes getting to Fusion services a little more difficult.

I'm guessing that new people to the site and going to have trouble finding the PCB service ("Fusion") if they don't know that it's called "Fusion" and would not think to look in a "Gifts" category...

    thanks

  2. Lotus version with a Picaxe chip

The idea of combining the Grove system with an ATmega chip in the recent Lotus board is great. Working in the field of education, also using Picaxe chips along with a free flowcharting software (Logicator) we are dreaming of a same type of board with a 28x2 chip.

  3. Please review shipping package box material being used.

My 1st ever order from Seeed for Sark110 Vector-Impedance Analyzer arrived via Postage Service but the packing box was badly crushed and some damage to Analyzer (that i had to repair) had occurred. The small size outer packing cardboard carton box was simply not strong enough for International Shipping.

  4. Put an information sheet into arduino shield products sold at Radio Shack.

You need to put instructions into the boxes of products that go to Radios Shack. I spent over 2 frustrating hours combing both sites for information. And still I do not know the pins that I need to toggle to turn on relays from my "Seeed Studio Relay Shield." Is it too much to ask for a pinout and sample code? Or at the very least a LINK TO A WEB PAGE WITH THAT INFORMATION??????

  5. should a new customer enter an incorrect phone

should a new customer enter an incorrect phone number then updating the user profile does not fix the incorrect phone number that appears when the customer is asked to select the address that the parcel is to go to.

    Excuse the lengthy sentence fragments.

This might cause people to re-enter the profile edit mode only to cancel an transaction that is well under way...
That transaction cancel-ation due to user editing incorect phone number in mid transaction can cause (did in my case) the session / transaction to kick the user out of the website into its home-routers/modems homepage...

    Theoretically:…

  6. Screw Shield Board for Industrial DIN Rail Enclosures

Seeeduino and Linkit can replace and disrupt industrial PLCs industry. Your boards only need a Screw Shield with 5.08mm pitch screws and a screw shield PCB so it can fit in traditional Bud Industries industrial enclosures (those enclosures are very inexpensive).

So the screw shield should meet Arduino connector specs and also needs the PCB to be sized such way that fits perfect inside the enclosure.

Please see the PCB board currently offered by BudIndustries, which can be easily adapted to work like a screw shield for seeeduino platform.

Yes, the Seeeduino ScrewShield will be bigger but will provide space…

  8. Sensor board, or arduino shield, based on the AS3935 chip

The AS3935 has a very sensitive lightning detector with SPI and I2C interfaces and needs only a few other parts. Putting this chip on a sensor or shield would make it very easy to build an Arduino lightning detector that could count lightning strikes, log them, and warn of a coming lightning storm. Would be great for a weather station project too.

  10. Ability to Cancel or Change an Order at any Stage in the Process

Ability to cancel or change an order at any stage in the process.

-Customer should receive no refund for the completed work
-Customers should be able to receive a store credit for work that is not complete yet.
-i.e. If customer pays for PCB + PCBA and cancels between PCB and PCBA, customer pays for PCB but not PCBA. Customer can make changes and then pay for a new order.

  11. Support ODB++ file format

It would be very nice if you could handle ODB++ format also.
From my point of view, it is very easy to work with. After "I saw the light" with this format (compared to gerber), I prefer not to use gerber.

  12. Website Naviagtion

I really like the products that you have on your site. I like it that Radio Shack also carries them. I found your site hard to navigate and find what i am looking for easily or even just to browse like an online store. On the other hand your competitors like SparkFun Pololu are really easy to navigate. I often find my self just browsing things on there store for hours. With this site i just don't feel like it give the feel to stay and "shop". I come in like i do when I go to radio shack retail…

  14. Fix the responsive layout on windows

you could tweak your responsive breakpoints.

It's great that the site scales and works on mobile :D

But on windows, the layout hasn't taken into account the fact that scrollbars take up some of the reported available screen width.

With my 1200px wide monitor, this causes an unneccessary horizontal scrollbar.
