My Seeed Idea

Idea Guidelines:
1 – Idea needs to be something we can do. This means, although we appreciate general feedback (for example, “this is good!” or “this hurts!”), here we are looking for ideas we can work on.
2 – Specific. The more details you can provide, the better. Heck—you can attach files to ideas or a reference link to show us what you want!

Stackup information PCBs
Information about the stackup for a four-layer PCB.
I would be nice to have a stackup for every PCB thickness seeedstudio provides. This makes impedance based routing possible.124 votes -
Fusion PCB Specification -- Provide separation dimensions between layers.
For computing strip-line impedance it is important to know the distance between conducting layers and the dielectric constant of the insulator material. If averages are provided please also provide variance

Fix the translation for the new Mini Soldering Iron
Great product, but the translation needs some work. Here is my suggestion:
Our Mini Soldering Iron, is a small, lightweight, quick heating soldering pencil that is great for many soldering application. The stable temperature is controlled accurately by the embedded STM32 controller and is easily adjusted from 100 to 400 degrees Celsius. You will benefit from dual temperatures, accelerated sensors, included sleep mode, and automatic over-heating warning. Soldering iron tips can be replaced with 4 different types and the embedded software can be reprogramed.
Features:
Portable and lightweight for convenient soldering
Easy temperature control
Sleep mode for safety and extend…2 votes -
Update the WIKI
New products or new versions of products, Grove Temp sensor V1.2, could not find it. Many bad links. Kit products with new version of hardware but wiki goes to old version of the product. Grove Starter Kit for Arduino V3 has some in it. New products or versions of products in the store going to old versions on wiki. I think the store and the wiki could use a good going over and clean up.

On the SARK-110 I would like to be able to offset the vertical axis and display the j reactive component rather than the Z impedance.
I have the SARK-110 and need to display the j component with vertical axis zero in the middle of the display. Thank you

Bicycle tracking and theft protection
We need a GPS device with GPRS and battery with motion charging small enough to fit inside a bicycle seat post. Or maybe fit underneath bicycle seat. When in motion it must charge the battery and transmit GPS coordinates every 30 sec via GPRS(sim card installed)

wired/wireless Grove-controlled 220V outlets
A simple, wired outlet is something I find myself making all the time (left side of photo), but I'd rather buy something smaller/safer/nicer than keep making them :)
The [more expensive] wireless product can have the same functionality of a "normal" rf (or ir) controlled outlet, but the remote control would also have a grove socket. If it's necessary to have 2 buttons/pins in order to control such a device (like the a/b buttons in the photo), you can use both yellow and white lines (unorthodox for non-I2C grove modules, but I don't see any reason why not).

I would like to see more Grove Kits/Sensors offerings not associated with a platform. Or maybe a fill your own sensor "bag" of sensors!

How about data on the Edsion Xadow product such as why things are not working? Also a test to tell you the thing is working? Flashing light.
Flasing lights don't anwer the question if the system is working? The OLED pretty much should have some indication there is power ? Nothing!! My only guess is the thing is bad from out of the box.

test leads with sharp tip
test leads with sharp tip, I suggest a better test tip for the measuring leads, made of a spring loaded test pin as the tip and a plastic pencil body; thus it stays firmly on even very thin pins even when the user looks to the measuring values or screen and the keeping force is not constant

In order for the netduino to stay alive perhaps build a watchdog shield.
In order for the netduino to stay alive perhaps build a watchdog shield that receives a pulse from netduino via output pin and if the pulse is not received for say 5 minutes the watchdog will awake and send the netduino a pulse that are connected to the reset pin that will reset the device.

Expedited Option
The page:
https://www.seeedstudio.com/service/index.php?r=pcb
Provides an "Expedited Option"
It does not appear to be enabled for general orders. The FAQ has no details as to what this option means or how to access it.
