Decent travel agent/package holidays
Because of COVID, I really want to book a vacation type trip with an ATOL protected package when we are allowed to travel. I'm thinking about TUI/Jet2, etc. Has anyone received good customer service from them regarding booking change/refund via COVID?
Previously, I would have ordered all the items separately, but I would like it all to be combined into one package.
A package holiday is very convenient. I used to travel like this: I bought tickets, looked for a hotel, made a tourist program, and so on. Now I found on this site https://www.russia-travel.com/visa-services/ ready-made tours , where I will not worry about accommodation and the program. It's worth to try.
To begin with, it is important to determine for yourself the purpose of the trip. If most of the time you will be on walks, excursions, meetings, then you only need a hotel for an overnight stay, there is no need for special requirements. But if you prefer to lie in your room, relax with juice from the mini bar, then it is important to approach the choice of the hotel more scrupulously. I would recommend you the guest house http://manchesterroomsflats.com/. Here you can definitely have a good rest.
We don't rest as often as we would like, so when we have the opportunity to rest, we start asking ourselves a bunch of questions: what to take, what date to buy tickets for, where the stash is hidden, etc., and the most important question facing us is: how to choose a hotel?
For example, if you want to go from Prague to Karlstejn, a distance of only 33 km, and you do not know how to do it, go to the site and enter the endpoints of the route in Russian, the service will tell you that you can get to just 40 minutes by train from the central station, will show the schedule of trains and ticket prices. And after visiting Karlstejn, you will surely want to take a trip from Prague to Karlovy Vary. Here the service https://www.dbreiseauskunft.com/de/ will tell you that it will be cheaper, faster and more convenient to make this journey by bus. Again, you will immediately see bus and train timetables, travel times for different modes of transport, departure points, and ticket prices.
TUI are notorious for refunds, I would not touch them with a finger.
We had a good experience with the Riviera.
We had several problems with an independent local travel agent. Nice, helpful people, but they were part of a consortium that was absolutely shitty, and we had a lot of problems getting our money back. So in the future, we will only book directly.
They have been great with us for the last 18 months. Full refund for our trip within 5 days last year. You can read all about their money back guarantees on their website.
They “buy "" the goods separately, and then package them for you. Just buy air tickets and one night in a hotel is a package of services, so you are completely protected. In three cases out of the last four, they actually cost less than the same trip if I put it together myself.
