My Seeed Idea

Share. Vote. Discuss. See.

Share your ideas, tell us what you think of other people’s ideas and join the discussion.
Idea Guidelines:
1 – Idea needs to be something we can do. This means, although we appreciate general feedback (for example, “this is good!” or “this hurts!”), here we are looking for ideas we can work on.
2 – Specific. The more details you can provide, the better. Heck—you can attach files to ideas or a reference link to show us what you want!

  9. Create a board like the BBG but without any connectors

There are so few companies that are making modules like the BBB/BBG without the ethernet & USB connectors. This is an embedded market product so lets make it that way. I want to plug the module into my circuit board and put the connectors where I need them to be.

  15. due to this limitation "Minimum inner trace width(for 4 layers) 0.204 8" I can't use QFP with 0.5mm like STM32f407VET6

use same DRU fort 2 layer and 4 layer ? At least for TOP and Botton layer in order to use standart packages.

  16. Wireless charging for Super Capacitor

A wireless charger that can charge a Super Capacitor [SC]. It would have an adjustable maximum voltage of 2.0 to 2.5 volts, and be able to dump large amounts of current [5A or more -- much more] into an extremely low impedance load [i.e. a current source with an upper voltage limit]. Also, it should be able to dump current into the SC at full bore all the way up to the maximum voltage. A typical SC has a maximum voltage of 2.7 volts, but should not be charged higher than around 2.2 to 2.5 volts [the higher the voltage…

  18. Stackup information PCBs

Information about the stackup for a four-layer PCB.
I would be nice to have a stackup for every PCB thickness seeedstudio provides. This makes impedance based routing possible.

  19. Update the WIKI

New products or new versions of products, Grove Temp sensor V1.2, could not find it. Many bad links. Kit products with new version of hardware but wiki goes to old version of the product. Grove Starter Kit for Arduino V3 has some in it. New products or versions of products in the store going to old versions on wiki. I think the store and the wiki could use a good going over and clean up.

  20. wired/wireless Grove-controlled 220V outlets

A simple, wired outlet is something I find myself making all the time (left side of photo), but I'd rather buy something smaller/safer/nicer than keep making them :)

The [more expensive] wireless product can have the same functionality of a "normal" rf (or ir) controlled outlet, but the remote control would also have a grove socket. If it's necessary to have 2 buttons/pins in order to control such a device (like the a/b buttons in the photo), you can use both yellow and white lines (unorthodox for non-I2C grove modules, but I don't see any reason why not).
