USA Distributor or Cheaper Shipping
This is why I can't use your products; I have $27 of Grove modules and the cost to ship them is more than twice that. Your shipping charges are way too high; or you need a distributor in the USA or cheaper shipping method

If you don't want to lose money on shipping, then pay attention to postal codes. They are required every time you want to order or send something. Check them on https://postcodefinder.net/ and don't mix them up.

I usually use an American fab house, but once I needed a bunch of cheap boards for a learn-to-solder class I was teaching. I ordered a batch through Seeed and one or two boards had this unintentional short between a trace and a ground plane. I can't remember exactly what the clearance was supposed to be, but it was well above spec. Pretty sloppy smudge of copper visible below the soldermask. They sent more boards than I ordered, so I can't really complain about getting ripped off, https://appsync.biz/abcya/ but I wasn't expecting this kind of an error on their part. https://appsync.biz/adam4adam/ We had to throw out the kid's board and start over https://appsync.biz/pof/

I am looking to order some products from China which will cost me around $300, however the manufacturer has informed me it will cost about $850 for air freight to the UK, and even more by sea.
I've only ordered smaller items from china before using air freight at around $100, but although these products are quite light, the size of them have made the freight costs so high that it's not worth it.
I was informed that I might be able to find a freight forwarder who can save on costs, however the one I found from Google quoted me even more, around $1000.
I've also tried finding a UK/European manufacturer, as I assumed the extra product cost may be worth the savings in shipping, but I've been completely unable to find a manufacturer who produces the product I'm looking for with Google or Alibaba.
My question is there any way I might be able to save on shipping? Or does anyone have any tips on finding a UK/European manufacturer? I believe there most be some as I've seen similar products on Amazon claiming they're manufactured in the UK, but I haven't been able to find who is manufacturing them.

It has been a while since I’ve done a competitive analysis of the various shipping carriers so I thought I’d do a quick update. With the United States Postal Service jacking up their rates every 4-6 months, what used to be the most economical shipping method is now priced inline or even more expensive than some of the more reliable carriers like UPS or FedEx. https://kijiji.onl/
