Idea Guidelines:
1 – Idea needs to be something we can do. This means, although we appreciate general feedback (for example, “this is good!” or “this hurts!”), here we are looking for ideas we can work on.
2 – Specific. The more details you can provide, the better. Heck—you can attach files to ideas or a reference link to show us what you want!

  1. Industrial 4-20ma input and output GROVE modules

I wish to control and read Industrial Sensors and equipment using 4-20mA signals, using a neat Grove module.

    Thanks.

  4. create a vacuum / pressure sensor from 30" Hg to 3 atm.

A vacuum and pressure sensor that is Arduino compatible that can measure from 30" mercury vacuum to approximately 3 atmospheres pressure. It'd be great for those of us using Arduino as engine ECUs to be able to have fine-grained control of engine parameters by knowing intake vacuum or pressure. Knowing the intake cross-sectional volume, the intake vacuum or pressure (in the case of blown engines) could also be used as an intake air flow sensor, which will really be beneficial to those of us using heated water injection to create extra cylinder pressure via steam expansion (to measure if we're…

    Hi DB:
We think this is a very professional area for the industrial control, would you please give us more advise about the popular sensors in this area, so we can make our products more convenient for you to use.

  5. Screw Shield Board for Industrial DIN Rail Enclosures

Seeeduino and Linkit can replace and disrupt industrial PLCs industry. Your boards only need a Screw Shield with 5.08mm pitch screws and a screw shield PCB so it can fit in traditional Bud Industries industrial enclosures (those enclosures are very inexpensive).

So the screw shield should meet Arduino connector specs and also needs the PCB to be sized such way that fits perfect inside the enclosure.

Please see the PCB board currently offered by BudIndustries, which can be easily adapted to work like a screw shield for seeeduino platform.

Yes, the Seeeduino ScrewShield will be bigger but will provide space…

  6. Lotus version with a Picaxe chip

The idea of combining the Grove system with an ATmega chip in the recent Lotus board is great. Working in the field of education, also using Picaxe chips along with a free flowcharting software (Logicator) we are dreaming of a same type of board with a 28x2 chip.

Tutorials for how to use your shields would be great. Especially configuring other devices that run off of them. Like an X-Bee for example

  9. Firefly

I wish seeedstudio would make a deal with the manufacturers of the Firefly RK-3288 and some other awesome products they are working on. Perhaps this isn't possible, but they do have some really neat things they are doing.

    Hi Aaron:
Thanks for your advice, we will pay close attention to Firefly RK-3288.But we don’t know the “neat things” they are doing, it will help if you can give us some info about this.
