What are the extra characters (production code) printed on my boards?

For tracking and identification purposes, the Seeed production code is added to some empty space on your PCB panel (text height: 0.75 - 1.0mm). It may be required to prove that the boards were made by us and not another manufacturer.

The placement of the serial code is determined by the engineers when preparing the files but they will try to put them in the board margin if present, on the bottom side or underneath the footprint of a component.

If you do not want the code on the individual boards, please create a margin around your boards and the engineers will place it here. The suggested margin width is at least 5mm.
