Develop a "gender bender" connector, which allows connection of a 1.2 Meg(5 1/4") floppy drive to a 1.44meg 3 1/2" drive support board.
1.2M floppy drives have an IDE 34 pin edge connector(female).
Usb floppy drive controllers have a 34 pin Female ide connector. Need an adapter: male to Male 34pin (cross connected), or similar to get a 1.2m (5.25") floppy to connect to a 3.5" floppy USB kit.
Many users have OLD 1.2m floppies with data, which could be recovered, with a standalone usb reader. in General, READING is all that is needed.
Passive Should cost Maybe $10 retail.
